Manoah Leach and NieNie

Besides serving others this semester, I have been trying to catch up with my many friends that I have lost touch with.

One woman I know from back home is Robin Leach (or Robin Klinger). Our families have been in the same ward it seems like forever. I didn't really get to know her because she was older than I was (I think she may have been in the primary class my mom taught when I was a toddler and the favorite play thing of the class), but we know of each other. Recently I was reading her posts on facebook and I noticed that her son, Manoah, was really sick. I didn't know how sick and I was nervous to ask. After a few inquiries I stumbled upon a blog that she had set up for her son to set down the journey that he is taking. Here is the link for those who know the Klingers and their daughter, Robin. http://www.caringbridge.org/visit/manoah. He has been through so much but he is such a marvelous little boy!

Another person, who is featured in a Mormon Messages video, was brought to my attention recently. My brother-in-law, Aaron, told me about her blog. He has been reading it from the first post to the most current entry. She was involved in a plane crash with her husband and was badly burned. Every normal thing that we take for granted, like picking up our kids, doing the dishes, doing laundry, etc, is a challenge. Even though she has gone through alot, she is still hanging on. She still has her faith and her testimony and her family. I don't know if any of us could say the same thing if we were in her place. Here is her blog (from the first entry): http://nieniedialogues.blogspot.com/search?updated-max=2005-05-14T01%3A00%3A00-07%3A00

These are just two extraordinary people that have been faced with difficult struggles. Their stories are different and in various stages but they are inspiring.
